Sheet rolling machines play a crucial role in sheet forming and processing, performing rolling and pre-bending. To ensure stable operation, operators need to understand common problems and solutions. The following are some common issues encountered in production and their solutions:

1. Sheet Rolling Deviation During Rolling

This is usually related to misalignment during feeding or deviations in the parallelism of the upper and lower rollers. Recalibrating the roller positions and checking the lateral positioning device ensures the sheet enters centered.

2. Excessive Roundness Error in Forming

If the rolled cylinder exhibits significant ellipticity, it may be due to improper pressing settings or insufficient pre-bending adjustment. It is recommended to reset the parameters according to the sheet thickness and confirm the stability of the hydraulic system pressure output. For CNC rolling machines, check that the control system data matches the current processing specifications.

3. Indentations or Scratches on the Rolled Surface

This problem is often related to impurities or hard particles on the roller surface. Regularly cleaning the roller surface and keeping the sheet free of obvious burrs can reduce surface damage. Simultaneously, check for localized wear on the roller surface.

4. Abnormal Noise During Equipment Operation

Abnormal noise may originate from insufficient bearing lubrication or abnormal gear meshing clearance. Lubricating oil should be replenished promptly, and the tightness of the transmission system should be checked. Neglecting such issues for a long time may affect the overall stability of the machine.

5. Hydraulic System Pressure Fluctuations

If uneven power occurs during the rolling process, check for leaks in the oil circuit or contamination of the oil. Maintaining the cleanliness of the hydraulic oil helps extend the service life of the sheet rolling machine.

6. Unsatisfactory Conical Rolling Effect

If the angle control is inaccurate during conical rolling, it may be related to unreasonable adjustment of the side rollers. Multiple trial adjustments should be made according to the design parameters before operation to obtain a more stable forming effect.

By standardizing operating procedures, strengthening daily inspections, and adjusting parameters promptly, most faults can be improved in their early stages. Proper maintenance not only helps reduce downtime but also improves the forming quality and stability of the sheet rolling machine during long-term operation.
